The Misfits are an American horror punk band formed in 1977 in New Jersey by singer and songwriter Glenn Danzig, and later re-founded by bassist Jerry Only. The original Misfits were pioneers of the subgenre of horror punk.
Minor Threat
Minor Threat was an American hardcore punk band that formed in Washington, D.C. in 1980 and disbanded in 1983. While Minor Threat was short-lived, it had a strong influence on the hardcore punk music scene. Minor Threat's song "Straight Edge" became the eventual basis of the straight edge movement
